Terms of use

You must be 18 or older and able to make a binding agreement. Keep your login private and your details accurate. One person per account.

Nabtote is a marketplace that connects people who want to rent out their things ("owners") with people who want to rent them ("renters"). Nabtote isn't a party to the rental itself and doesn't own, inspect or insure the items. Owners are responsible for their items being safe, legal and as described.

Every listing is reviewed before it appears. You may not list:

• anything illegal, stolen, counterfeit or recalled;
• firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapons or hazardous materials;
• drugs, alcohol, tobacco or vaping products;
• animals, people's services, real estate or vehicles that need a license or registration to operate on public roads;
• anything you don't own or don't have the right to rent out.

• Renters pay the full amount when booking: the rental price, any delivery fee, a 12% Nabtote service fee, sales tax where it applies, and the item's refundable security deposit.
• Owners have 24 hours to accept. If they decline or don't answer, the renter is refunded in full.
• Cancellations are refunded according to the item's cancellation policy shown before you book.
• After the owner marks the item returned, the deposit goes back within 48 hours unless a problem is reported.
• Owners are paid the rental price and delivery fee after the rental ends, once their payout account is set up.
• Keep all payments on Nabtote. Asking for or making payments outside Nabtote isn't allowed and removes your protection.

Renters must return items on time and in the condition they received them, apart from normal wear. If something goes wrong, either side can open a case in the resolution center. The other person has 48 hours to reply; if they don't, the claim is approved. Owner claims are limited to the security deposit; renter refunds are limited to what they paid. If you disagree, our team decides. Nabtote doesn't provide insurance.

Nabtote has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post or send anything that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, fraudulent, spam, or that shares someone's private information.

• You can report any item, member, message or review, and block any member so they can't message or book with you.
• We review reports within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or remove the accounts responsible.
• If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 first.

You keep ownership of the photos, listings, messages and reviews you post. You give Nabtote permission to show them on the service and to use listing photos to promote your listing. Reviews must be honest and about a real rental.

You can delete your account at any time from your account page, once no rental, deposit, payout or case is still open. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

Nabtote is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, Nabtote isn't responsible for the condition, safety or legality of items, for what members do, or for indirect losses. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid Nabtote in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and tell you in the app about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, USA. Questions? Reach us on the help page.

If you downloaded Nabtote from Apple's App Store: these terms are between you and Nabtote, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no duty to provide support for it, and may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary.
